How it works:
1. Make a claim in the Claiming Form for a rare pairing that has not been claimed yet.
2. Once your claim is approved, pick a prompt table from the list of 18 prompt tables. You can also mix and match and make your own prompt table.
3. Post your prompt table to your own journal as a reference. Here is the code for the blank prompt table.
4. Write 13 drabbles or ficlets (or a mix of both) using your prompt table and post them to the comm.
Which pairings are allowed:
The pairing you are claiming for must not be on the off-limit list, which is updated periodically. Also, the pairing must not be on the approved claim list. That said, if the pairing on the approved claim list is indicated as inactive (i.e., 0/13), or if the author hasn't posted in over a year, you might be able to claim that pairing. Please contact the mods for more detail.
Word count limit:
A drabble is defined as 100-500 words. A ficlet is defined as 501-1000 words. It's okay to go a bit over 1000 words, though it's preferrable that you keep to the 100-1000 range. The absolute maximum word count for special events and challenges is 2500 words. If your story goes over 2500 words, you are advised to cut down on the word count.
Special Events:
Every year the comm runs Summer Wishlist Event and Winter Exchange, as well as other events throughout the year. They are currently running Numbers Game Ficathon 2021. Note that the off-limit pairing rule also applies to all special events. And as mentioned above, the maximum word count for special events is 2500 words.
