Community Profile

potterfests is a community created for promoting Harry Potter fanwork fests, HP communities and other HP fandom events, whether they are hosted on Dreamwidth, Livejournal, Tumblr, Twitter, AO3, Facebook, Discord, etc. You can find us on Livejournal at potterfests.

We also post about multi-fandom communities and prompt challenges that welcome HP fans to join in.

Posting Rules

To post about a fest or a community on Potterfests, join Potterfests as a member, and you will automatically have posting access.

There are no hard rules on posting format. At the minimum, please include links to the fest/community, a description of what it's about, and a timeline if there is one. You can also include a banner and/or any additional information. We have an optional sample posting template if you need it. You don't have to use it if you prefer another format.

With tagging, just choose whichever tags you think are appropriate. The mods will add additional tags and create new tags for you.

Feel free to post follow-up posts and reminders of approaching deadlines for your fest. As long as you aren't posting about the same fest several times a week, it's cool :-) If you are promoting a community, you may make a post about it on Potterfests every 2 months.

Feel free to post any Harry Potter related information to this comm *and* to the comm on LJ. If a post appears here but not on LJ within 24 hours and vice versa, we'll cross post it for you.
