Description: A Draco/Harry prompt challenge inspired by the board game "Snakes and Ladders". You can complete the prompt you are given by writing a fic, reccing someone else's fic or commenting on a fic.

Fic: Minimum 500 words.
Recs: The story you rec must be at least 800 words. The rec notes must be 4 or 5 sentences.

gameofdrarry is hosting its first ever Exploding Snap game fest, a fast-paced, team-based Draco/Harry game inspired by Crazy Eights and Uno.

A Very General Overview

When you sign up for this event, you will be assigned to a team. Before the start of the game, each team player will be given 7 cards.

There are two types of cards:
1. Regular cards: read a fic of a specific trope and word count, write a rec and post it on Tumblr/journal
2. Exploding Snap cards: create a fanwork (fic, art, podfic) according to a certain parameter (i.e., trope, word count)

Once a team has played a card, the next team has 24 hours to pick a card out of their team members' hands, complete the task specified on the card, and play the card. Some of those tasks might require 2 or more team members to collaborate on something.

The goal of this game is to be the first team to play all the team members' cards before September 1. If none of the teams manages to get rid of all their team members' cards, whichever team with the fewest cards wins.

Communication

Players can talk to their team members in their team's Discord channel via the Game of Drarry Discord server. Playing a completed card is done via filling out a "Card Prompt Completion Form" hosted on Airtable.
